Back in Store: The School of Satchel Returns

Last October 10, 2025, we quietly marked a milestone we’ve long been hoping for. The School of Satchel is finally back in a physical store, now open at SM Megamall, 3rd Level, Mega B.

This isn’t our first rodeo. Some of you may remember us from our early days at Shangri-La Plaza. And in 2022, we made another attempt to return, but life (and logistics) had other plans. We had to pause — again. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned as an independent brand, it’s that pausing isn’t quitting.

So here we are, finally back with a slightly bigger, still lean team, and a whole lot of gratitude.

It’s not easy reopening a store after years of uncertainty. The pandemic shifted so much — from operations to priorities. But your constant messages, the loyal support, and the never-ending encouragement gave us every reason to try again. To everyone who said, “Please come back,” this is for you.

This store represents more than just leather bags. It’s a return to our purpose: to share and champion Filipino craftsmanship, and to prove that locally made goods can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with global brands. Every satchel, tote, clutch, and even a bag tag is made with care by Filipino leather craftsmen using vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather ethically and thoughtfully.

We may be small, but our mission is big: to make “local” your first choice, not your fallback.

So whether you’re discovering us for the first time or have been with us since the beginning, thank you for walking with us on this journey.
